Swiftness is necessary for the functioning of the money-less economy.

迅速性は、無貨幣経済の機能として必要とされている。

村人達は無貨幣経済の効率を上げてくれる。

The easiest way to save the time and effort is barter trade in this village.

この村において、時間と手間を省くための 一番簡単な方法は、物々交換である。

-------　　残念な事に、ぼったくり ( 高値を吹っ掛ける取引 ) のケースも有る。

I said ' That's expensive! .... No way ! '

私 「高っ !・・・有り得んっ !」

The store owner ' Huh ? If you don't want to buy, that doesn't bother me.'

店主 「はぁ ? 買いたく無いのなら、俺に構わないでくれよな。」

But from my perspective, the trade like this isn't totally fair.

私の見方 ( 観点 ) からすれば、その取引は公正では無い。

There's no the legal price in this isolated area in these mountains.

この山間僻地には、法定価格は存在しない。

By the way, In many cases, convenience store is disliked by some local governments in Japan.

余談だが、日本では コンビニが、一部の地方自治体に嫌われるケースが多く見られる。
