I named that city ' eternal- Peiraieus '.

私はその都市に「永遠なるペイライエウス」と名付けた。

It is called ' Etperius ' for short.

短く略して、「エッペリウス」と呼ぶ。

I intend to build a long land-bridge between the two strategic points.

私は二つの要衝の地 ( 戦略上の拠点 ) の間に、長い陸橋を建設するつもりだ。

Piraeus ( Peiraieus ) is a large port city ( ≒ port town ) , bearing all the characteristics of a huge marine and commercial-industrial centre.

ピレウス ( ペイライエウス ) は大きな港町であり、巨大な海洋と商業・工業の中心地の全ての特性を持つ。

Ancient Athenians built long walls ( ≒ a long land bridge ) , connecting the city of Athens to Piraeus port.

古代アテネ人は長い壁 ( 長い陸橋 ) を築いた。← 都市アテネからピレウス港までを繋 ( つな ) ぐ。

There were road between two long walls.

二つの長い壁の間には、道が存在していた。

Because, they able to move safely between the two cities.

ゆえに彼らは、その二都市間を安全に移動出来た。

現在の Piraeus ピレウス は、古くは Peiraieus ペイライエウスと呼ばれていた。
